Overview
The Ophthalmology Nurse reflects the mission, vision, and values of the organization, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. He/She is a registered professional clinical nurse (RN) who is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of clinically competent, evidence-based care for an assigned group of patients that includes diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation and evaluation. As a member of the clinical care team, the Ophthalmology nurse participates in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve exceptional outcomes and enhance unit operations.
Skills required:
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, management, staff and other customers.
• Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to use appropriate judgement, independent thinking and creativity when resolving customer issues.
• Ability to use computers and select software applications; experience with electronic health record (E.H.R) preferred.
Qualifications :
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing
• Fluent English speaker. Knowledge of Arabic will be an advantage although not essential.
• Preferred: Experience in specific clinical area : Ophthalmology
